Looks like a clean truck. The guy sent me some more pictures over my phone of the inside, its really clean. He says the motor was rebuilt about 4,000 miles ago. Had the head done at somewhere in portland, went through whole engine and had block hot dipped. Weber carb with fresh rebuild kit and air filter. Recently replaced clutch, changed fluid in rear end, Says he has reciepts for everything, but their is one thing that disturbes me. He says he replaced the rods but did not replace the pistons because they were still good. The truck has 140,000 original miles on it but the new rebuild has 4,000. He is asking $1,600 for it so it sounds like a great deal for a DD that i desperately need. Any in put would be great! Thanks.

they are good trucks...my buddy had one of the same year 2wd 2200's ragged the hell out of that thing and never really had a problem

I had a Mazda B-2000 two wheel drive with a 8 ft bed. You could not stop that truck. Looked funny with the bed but it was unstopable and never broke down in the 10 years I had it. Made me a fan of em.

Thanks for the lead. I just bought the truck................j/k.

i'd do it. pistons can be just fine with the rods goin bad under them. never heard of throwing a piston...have ya?

those are tuff trucks man, my brother had one and never let him down
only downside is that theyre a bit thirsty on gas

haha yeah all this is the same i was thinking....i hope it turns out good i wanted a fuel injected but this has a weber with a K&N that was just rebuilt so this deal is great...haha in the back of my mind i was thinking that someone would see the add and go look at it thats funny but i guess ya snooze ya lose what can ya do. and ya know i almost feel guilty going outside the ranger community but i guess this is as close as i can get as mazda basically is a ford engine so i dont feel so bad...

i like the looks of it! but b2600?? never heard of it lol what is it a 4 banger or six? and a weber carb? what year is this thing haha it must be pretty early im guessing???

ya i never heard of a B2600 either but its a 2.6L 4 cylinder. it is from 1987 so i figured it would be fuel injected or maybe throttle body injection. But no its a weber....i'm going to to drive it sat. and make sure it has enough power i hope it does.

hmmm, may be pretty stout on power if its a decent size carb. webers are great carbs for smaller displacement engines, very tuneable!
