hes 2wd. have a locker/limited slip out back yet? a prerunner bar would look nice, i wouldnt put a brush guard on that truck.

The locker or limited slip is a good suggestion. Depending on budget, you could regear at the same time if you haven't already. I also vote for auxillary lights, such as driving lights.

Yup, def needs a Chinook engine.

gears. cheapest way to get a little pep in your step.


how do you change the gear ratio in a manual tranny? do you have to buy new pinions and rings? or can you keep what you have? i think i have 3.08 but ive heard 3.73 is beast

not the transmission gears. the gears in the rear axle. if youve got 3.08's, 3.73's would be a huge improvement in acceleration and fix your problem with hills. the simples route would be to find a ranger axle with 3.73's and swap it in.
 
get some 4.10 gears that will improve the power turning those 31"s
 
4.10's for sure! that's what i've got in my truck and i love them! a little high on the RPM on the hiway for my liking, but it's not too bad, 100km (that's about 63 in american) and i'm running about 2300rpm (that's about 2300 in american

a turbo wouldn't be a bad idea, if you know what you are doing... can sometimes pick one up cheap from the jy, and they add a good amount of kick...
