Looking for someone to help with modifying bumper

the one on the b2 has a hitch.

as for the one on the b4000 it depends on what version you mean. the first version no lights no winch (tube) i have about 8 into. add 4 centered lights with expanded metal guard another 3 hours. and to cut apart add winch plate and all and put tubes back on as i could getthem to fit, i have about another 12. if i woulda built the bumer from the get-go with the winch i wouldnt have taken me nearly as long. just alot of cuttin and messin around.

as for the latest bumper i have about 10-12 of solid work. i spent alot of time scratchin my head and my ass tryin to figure out how far back i could put the winch.

the b2's bumper would have went alot faster but the body lift project was goin on at the same time. and it was a saturday night so there were alot of ppl in the garage. it is a pretty simple design with just some angle between the frame rail's two pieces of angle as mounting bracket's, the main tube across the front with a simple stinger, and the lower tube. the hitch tubing is welded to the angle, the front main tube and the lower tube.

how hard would it be to add a second pipe below the first (it wouldnt have to one piece it could be one piece for each side) just so it doesnt look quite so empty in the front end and would the $50 include paint? or would that just be for the metal and labor?

50 bucks is what i have in just the material. as for the paint it's just semi gloss black rattle can. as for labor it all depends on exactly what you want. and do realize these bumpers arnt crash rated or load rated. both have been holding up to a winch just fine with some serious use so i'm confident in the builds but i'm also confident somone out there can break them. we were gonna put some tubes from the stinger to the main horizontal but never got around to it. the stinger is actually gone off this bumper now. lookin to revamp tit a little bit.

its perfectly fine if its not crash rated it just has to have a front hitch so i can have outriggers for my dogs i just want the tubes for looks and i think what i might do is black spray on bed liner as paint doesnt hold up very well

as for the bumper it self i like the idea of the look of the one on the bronco 2 with a second bar under the top and a brushguard (or hoop what ever you want to call it) off the bumper on the B4000 if i can put tow hooks on it thats fine

hey like i said anything is possiable. just have to figure out a good time to put pencil to paper (or welder to metal) definately can be done in one night best bet to get what you want is to help build it.

i have under coating on some spots and bed liner on others around the truck and i'm not liking it too much. they are both very hard to get clean. and the undercoating is peeling badly. as for the painted bumper's they are holding up much better. the paint i use is from TSC from my experience it drys faster. sticks/covers better and holds up alot better. the only minor issure with it is it only comes in bout 6 different colors . oh and did i mention it's dirt cheap. however my truck dosnt see too much salt. in the winter i strictly use it for wheelin cuz it SUCKS on plowed roads and ice.

thats the only thing id be worried about the truck will be used alot in the winter driving all over wisconsin and some in mi so it would need to hold up to the salt it doesnt really matter to me if i cant keep it clean it wont see alot of mud if any and as for the paint only coming in 6 colors thats fine as long as one of them is black :P the whole outside of the truck will be black when im done with it do you think the pipe would work sort of as a tube step? it wont have much if any weight on it (im 150 and my gf is way less than that)one of these days ill get some pics of her with my truck lol now if only i can get her to help haha

you can make a step bumper outta tube. from my experience in the mud the tube is slippery as snot. good way to bust your chin off your tailgate (ask me how i know) gotta imagine its gonna be the same in the snow. if i were to want a designated place to step i would build somthing as a step. i now just step on my rear reciever or my front tow points work good as well. as for the weight. i have put all my bumpers thru some serious "testing" and have yet to have a single piece or part break i'm sure you can step, stand, or jump on it and wont have the slightest issue.

i meant like nerf bars or sliders i know they would be to light for sliders but i would just be using it like those $300 stainless steel tube step bars (that go along side the truck to make it easier) i dont need them but i want something so its easier for my gf to get in once i take the running boards off ill probably just weld the pipes to the brackets the running boards are bolted to unless i bolt the pipes too
