Was on here about 5-6 years ago. Same name, same truck, but Heather moved on to greener pastures.
For those who don’t remember, our foster daughter Heather insisted that she “had to have” my late brother in law’s 94 rcsb 2.3/5spd rwd, Barney, the cranberry metallic with 1992 Sport wheels. She turned 17 and eloped to another state, after I spent a small fortune getting the rear suspension, lights and ignition system upgraded.

Fast forward to $5/gal 90 octane ethanol free, a lifted 1t 4wd dually with 60 gallon tanks, and a 10mpg thirst… Barney is getting reborn, again.

Glad you're back. Wish it was under better circumstances though.

We hear from her occasionally. She’s 22 now, healthy and has a daughter of her own.

It’s beyond time to fix up the truck. Prepping for a narrower rear axle and fiberglass monoleafs. Both out of a totalled 92 lwb I insisted we keep as a parts roach. 2” narrower, still 3.45 geared, 92 Outlaw 2 factory clones, 75k mile Generals in 225/70r14. Cut down the stock 60/40 into a 40-20-40, with the 20 being a built in cooler. Parts truck bed is getting installed on an old boat trailer as a motorcycle trailer, since Barney has a nearly colormatched “pet” 1999 Kawasaki 1500 Drifter. The 92 doors, hood and front fender are going to a friend restomodding a Bronco 2 for his newborn son. 92 transmission is going into a 1949 Dodge truck with a hotrod flathead 6. 92 frame needs to be pulled straight, picking up a junker 48/49 Plymouth sedan to build a “flower car” (Ranchero) out of.

Waste not, want not.
