So, I have two Rangers right now. One is a 2009 with an extended cab and four wheel drive. Unfortunately, it was in a wreck in 2010. It rolled so the body is pretty much screwed (the roof and bed are completely gone). The up-side is that since it went over on it's side and there was no front end collision the frame, engine, and all are fine and, besides sitting for a year, basically new.
The other is a 2000 with a regular cab and a 7 foot bed. It has about 187,000 miles and will most likely need a new transmission soon. The body is in relatively good condition (it exists and isn't too beat up). Me and a couple friends have decided to try and combine these two in to one truck, if possible. We aren't sure if it would be better to swap the engine and anything worth saving from the 2009 into the 2000, or to take the body from the 2000 frame and fit it to the '09. Any thoughts?
