87 B2, should be identical to 85-88 rangers. Looking for the location of the splice # 127. Alldata says all the various sensors splice into it. No idea where it actually is. I need to repair a wire and want to do it properly.

Excuse the crappy quality of the image.

Can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet it's between the engine and firewall just before it goes to the PCM. It'll be inside the wrap of the harness.

The 1987 EVTM lists S127 as "Near throttle position sensor takeoff", but there's no view diagram. Based on that, I'd start at the TPS and follow its harness to where it "takeoff"s out of the larger harness, and open the wrap in that area.

I like using friction tape to recover an opened harness..

I did look through the harness and found no shorts or broken wires (through a visual inspection mind you), however I DID see this: (see image please)

Anyone know 1. Where to get a new pair of connectors and wires and 2. How to seal this from the elements?

Pair of connectors? So it's a point where 2 sections of harness meet? Not plugged into anything?

If so I'd start by looking up weather pack connectors. Or go old school and put bullet/spade connectors on each wire. That is time consuming if you have to disconnect it later, but cheap, and readily available.
