I need a double V-belt water pump pulley for my 1970's 351W. Any extra's around??

I'm in the process of dumping the PS system and with this pulley I can run the alt off of the crank belt and also turn the water pump. Right now the water pump runs off the crank/PS pulleys.

Sound like this would work?

All the 70's 302/351W's used a single groove waterpump pulley as far as I know. The pre 70 289/302's had a few applications with dual sheeve pulleys, but these don't line up with the 70's crank pulleys. You can remount the alternator to line it up with the other two pulleys, this is what I did on my 331. I used a 302/351W crank pulley (3 groove with the two outer pulleys machined off) and the 302/351W waterpump pulley. I fab'd an alternator mount bracket from 3/8" thick aluminum, and used a thick washer behind the alt. pulleyn and used the std alternator spacer on the pivot bolt. Got pics on my photobucket site http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p53/baddad457/

Thanks for the idea...........Dan

Spent about 20 minutes eyeing up the situation after looking at your pics and then got to work. Fabbed up a piece of aluminum to mock up the new brackets and it worked great. The only problem is that I'll have limited belt adjustment since the alt is moved closer to the head and the alum bracket that holds the pivot bolt.

Now just need to make it from plate and we'll hopefully be rolling w/o PS.

I went thru my photobucket site and pic # 46 showed what I did the best. My motor is a 331 stroker, the waterpump is a std rotation, 88 Crown Vic pump. The alternator slide adjuster bracket was from a 289 (I think). I got a dozen different brackets like this hanging on a couple of nails, I picked the one that worked the best. The bolts the alternator bracket is bolted to are stud headed bolts from the same Crown Vic. They're a bit shorter than I'd like, but I used the Ford flange nuts on them and they've held up fine. The nuts have knurling on the bottom sides that keep em, locked to the aluminum.
