Looking at a 2-3" drop

my buddy has a chevy Xtreme. the little extended cab with body kit. I can get a pick of that if it helps? I know I sit same roof hight as him but i got more clearance then him, by a lot haha.

That might be the ticket then. If the ranger was lower than the Colorado I would stay away from the 4/5. If it's possible a side by side would be great.

ok, I should have the truck back from the shop either tomorrow or friday, i will get a pick then. I also post the measurement from front/rear bumper to ground and rocker panel so you can compare to your truck.

hey man i didn't forget about ya, truck is still in the shop. once I get it back I'l post for ya.:icon_thumby:

I can wait, what's the truck in the shop for?

'bout a week!!!!!!!!!!

:icon_rofl:

sorry bout dat....hope it gets done soon so we can see the pic / measurements.....

its a list but,

A/c just got done 2 months ago, but then 2 weeks later went out again, so it went back for another week. had it home for about 3 weeks then decided I was gona prerunner the truck, but right before I did i heard a noise in the tranny, took it in and they said the tranny was shot. So i was in the air about just parting the truck out becuase I've been wanting to sell it for an F-150 or extended cab ranger but decided to fix it. So NOW

it has new clutch, new tranny, new U joints, brakes.

WELL got it home from that and it has always had an oil leak but after the new tranny it leaked BAD! :icon_confused: so after about another month of them trying and another 1500 bucks, i FINALLY had the truck home! WELL short lived becuase ever since i've been having to take it back becuase it starts leaking again. :annoyed:

Now its been in the shop for a week and they seem to have had a couple guys go home sick and they didn't know what was going on with my truck so I just called today and o guess what?!?!?! they STILL had nothing to tell me.

BUT anyway, its been a long, 4500 dollar process but hopefully its out soon lol. I can guarantee it'l be here this week. :icon_bounceblue:

Well hopefully that's it! My truck sat a lot before I bought it and I'm still working the kinks out. I'm down to stupid little things that annoy me but thankfully doesn't prevent me from driving it.

ya, i have had the truck for 7 years and only problem i've ever had was the A/C going out every few years. Other than that it's mostly been fun money i put into it AND I got the truck when I was 15 so i learned how to drive on it, and its never given me problems, until recently but 2 reasons I think that happened, lol one is I have a theory that all old vehicles hit this wall where it takes bank to get them like new again, but also i spoke about selling it and I think she heard me :dunno:

HAHAHA anyway, can't complain, driven the crap out of that truck so can't ask for much more. Truck is almost 20 years old and being almost all original people always ask if i repainted it or are shocked when i say it's a 93'. Gotta love Ford:headbang:

Yea people with the same size drop will have various altitudes due to various wheel and tire combos. I'm pretty sure the red truck on DJMs site has like 17s with low pro tires on it. The pic was probably taken when the kit was first released years ago before huge rims became popular. If you have the 98+ regular 2wd coil spring front end your options are 2/2 2/3 3/3 3/5 4/5 drops I can set you up with any of the DJM or Belltech components that would be needed for the drop. If you have torsion bars I can also set you up with the parts for that as well. brian@illusivefabrications.com

Hey,

Sorry just got the truck back today. I have seen a colorado extreme around so I will get next to him and snap a photo when I get the chance, but here is the heights i promised.

Back from the dead:)

That's a great picture, the measurements help. Did you ever get a chance to line up with a Colorado?

I see this thread was brought back from the dead, but it was useful when I was looking for other trucks with the 2/3 drop. Seems everyone goes straight for the 4/5 or ends up cutting coils, etc.

I just installed the DJM 2/3 drop on my 06 ranger last weekend. Actually ended up being a 2/4 drop with the shackle on the lowest setting, I could raise the back up one inch if I wanted on the other shackle setting. However I plan to drop the front the other two inches with control arms eventually and I like where the back sits now.
