So today that Snappy guy came 'round. We talked about my space issues and prices on a side cab.

I called my wife and asked her to come down so I could talk. At the end of it I threw my top chest on top of this:

That is not my box in the pic, but its the same model and color. It was the last one left on the truck and it was on big sale.

$600 off if I spent over $2k, plus $1500 for ANYTHING I traded in as long as it isn't beat to crap and it's made of metal.

Trading my year old Craftsman box in (paid $200 for it) and bringing my old roll cab home for the garage. :yahoo::yahoo:

My old setup comes to about the end of the long drawer, and the bottom of my chin. The overall height hasn't changed, but this will be much nicer for a lot of things.

So just for the review, my wife has now helped me swing two engines, do two clutches, and in the last 3 months let me buy a B2 and a new tool box.

She's a keeper.

i envy you, i cant even fill a 5 gallon paint bucket with all the tools i got....

looks nice bro!

What's your address again? lol.. I'd love to have just a single snap-on tool yet alone a badass toolbox like that!

My old box wasn't full full, but I don't care for the arrangement. It's only 20" deep and there are a lot of shallow drawers that make for a lot of wasted space.

I like my old box. It's been great for the last few years, I'm just picking up a lot of new tools quickly right now. I've rearranged a few times in the last month and haven't gained a lot of space from it.

I'll try to snap some pics of my full setup tomorrow.

I like my box, it's great for what I do, but if I wasn't an active professional I'm willing to bet that every last tool I owned, box included, would either say "Craftsman" or "U.S. General" on it.

Oh yeah, not to rub it in or nothin', but the current promo also means the box came with this:

Damn man. Nice box.
I got a Craftsman setup and some old Snap-On boxes from the 70's I am going to clean up soon. Not that my box will really be filled with the amount of tools I have.

I am very jealous, especially of that electric truck, that thing would be so fun to play with

Do want. my old box from school is getting way too crowded. plus i have a top box on it that is filled. i've been thinking of making some racks for the side of the box for pry bars and stuff that could hang easily

BUT i also don't want to be a mechanic anymore so perhaps my current set up will be sufficient for working at home.

Very nice box!!! that is one of the only reasons i went to school to be a diesel tech......1/2 off tools!!!!!!
I bought a double bay Mac box that I love. Just take care of her and she wont depreciate in value much over time

and why do you have a honda head on your box??? :shok:

That would be nice, with my center section my Craftsman box is like a leaning tower of tools...

Because you didn't read the OP carefully. That's not a pic of my box, I just found a pic of the same box. :icon_thumby:

Wish I had the change to plunk down on a big box....

I started out with a small toolbox. Then added two more toolboxes. Then a two bigger toolboxes. Then a grenade ammo box (keeping score here yet, that's 6 toolboxes). Somehow all my mechanic tools don't fit in that all anymore and I'm constantly rooting around for tools.... guess it's time for a big chest....

And don't get me started on my collection of tools for my trade (construction) - I built a 10'x12' shed with 10' high walls and a full loft.... it's packed full and I still need more space...

Ok, here are pics of my box:

The top chest is my old one that I've had for 3 or 4 years now. The open space at the end of the roll cab makes for a nice desk.

Nice box adsm! I bet that thing is heavy. My buddy has one of the new MAC boxes that is comparable in size to yours, and that thing is a tank. It makes my Craftsman boxes feel like little toys.

Hmm....wondering how she does this....:D
