Isn't there an Exploder front shaft that is longer than the Ranger shaft?

If not has anyone found a j-yard shaft that works well with a EB D44 SAS?

I have a 1354m that needs connected to my D44...

Thoughts on choppin and extending my factory shaft....

The Explorer front shaft is longer than some Ranger front ones, namely the 87 and older with manual trans. In 88 the FM146 came out and the FM146/M5OD/A4LD are all the same length.

So... What's longer than my factory 94 shaft? 4.0 M5 1354E D35

I've heard a report that the driveshaft in a Ranger with the D28/35 hybrid axle is about an inch longer. I have not verified this though.

As for extending a driveshaft, it can be done, but you gotta make damn sure it's straight afterward if you ever want to go more than about 30 MPH in 4WD. More than a mm or so out of whack and you'll have a hard time balancing it.
