haha finished putting in a clutch in this '90 Toyota car today, also worked on the drive axles as its a front wheel drive car. got her all put back togther, turns out my buddy didnt reclamp the boots on the drive axles, and we took her for a spin.

smoke starts pourin from the engine, tuns out it was the grease shot out from the drive axles lol... funny stuff, it wont be so funny tommrow when i have to clean up that damned mess.

thats why i like workin by myslef on motors and suspension things. its nice to have the company and have them help on small things but other than that no way i learned my real lesson when i was rebulding my neighbors 5.0 HO in his mustang and he forgot to tighten the lower intake and when i started putting water in for the first start up after the rebuild i kept pouring water in and i poured 2 gallons in and realized why water was coming out of the lower intake it was funny till i had to pull the plugs and take off the lower and upper intake and TB and vaccum lines and then i got a lil ticked by it all and what went from a two day job to a 4 day job gah that was very annoying

yeah... it was a good laugh..... but a simple fix... too bad its winter and i cant drag the pressure washer out... oh well... the dude will have to live with grease coated firewall and such ahaha.

i agree. i like to have the company too but man i would rather just do the work myself. i was doin the tune up on my truck a couple weeks ago and my buddy was there helpin me. seeing as my truck is body lifted im in the wheel well pullin the plugs out and my buddys feeding me the wires from above. anway he gets a little ahead of me and hands me two wires. im like...uhhh...which ones which...he says...uhhhh...i think this one...i mean. if i was doin it myself i would know cuz i would be doin them one by one...anyway im just rantin now..lol:icon_confused:

yeah it doesnt always take two to tango.

i always feel like people want to get involved in stuff, i know if i were standing around id feel purtty useless ....

that was a fun clean up, i think ill never let that happen again.
