I am planning an the swap sooner than later, and i want to put a locker in it. I will be driving it oin the street so what would be the best application for this setup? Does it even effect the driving when it's "unlocked" as in the hubs aren't locked and in 2wd?

After running an Aussie in mine for a couple years now, I have nothing but good things to say about them. It get's my vote.

With the hubs unlocked there are no ill effects from them and there are very few effects you will notice when it is locked in.

i'm gonna throw an aussie in mine! i love my aussie's that i have used in the past.

I also have an aussie in mine. It's awesome. Not one complaint at all.

With the hubs unlocked, you would never even know it's in there.

Well its decided im gettin one.lol and what one should I use for the rear and again its a dd/weekend wheeler.

There are a few options for the rear. I have a lock right, and like the aussie, I haven't had any problems with it either. The tires will chirp if you gas it around corners and in parking lots, you can hear the locker clicking sometimes, and you will notice some weaving on the highway when letting off/getting on the gas. But, all that is to be expected. Great locker for the price.

I have about 6 years on both of my lockers, both DD and weekend warrior. Both are still working like a charm and show minimal to no wear.

I did have to replace the little springs in the lock right a few years ago, but that may have been my own fault.

I've had LockRights in both ends for about ten years. They're much smoother than the Detroit No-Spin in the rear of my big pickup. Much smoother.

Thanks the info.! As fat as tire wear have you seen any wear difference as do you go through tires alot faster?

i've never noticed a difference in tire wear?

go aussies front and rear for the price of just a detroit in the rear! lol.

Well sounds like its atleast somethin to toss around for a bit till I get yhe money saved up.lol
