This thing is pissing me off. I ordered one for my new D35. Got it and tried to install it into the carrier. It kinda fit with some grinding so I thought " they sent me a kit for a Jeep D35." No problem I think as there is old Cherokee in the back lot. I yank it out and guess what ?? It still doesn't fit. Better than the Ford carrier but still not working properly. Basicly it works without the center pin in. Pin in and it seems to push out the middle dog gears out to engage the side dog gears full time.

Thoughts ?? I'll double check the part numbers and such on monday but it's pissing me off.

I was sent a lockright for a 94 and up Jeep with C-clip axles. Everything was just a wee bit different.

On my lock-rite, it went in one Dana 35 TTB carriers I had, but not another; both were Dana 35 TTB carriers.

I think some years had different clearances.

The Lock-Rite I used was previously installed in a Jeep D35.

I had the same problem 2 years ago when I went to put my lockright in, it wouldn't fit without taking out the trust washers and everything so I sent it back.

Mine fit in the one carrier with the thrust washers in it. The part that wouldn't fit in the second carrier is where the axles go into the locker. The carriers opening was smaller than the lockers male portion.

I believe Jeep has two different cross pin diameters. There is also ABS and Non ABS differences.

You need to get the carrier that that locker was installed in and use it.

Found out today that I ordered the correct part number but was sent wrong part. My fault for not checking the invoice. But have the correct one coming and getting a discount too !!

Does this have anything to with the carrier break with gear ratios above vs. below 3.73 (IIRC)?
