lock rite in a 8.8 trac lok

ok ill take your guys word for it. how about the lock rite no slip how much is that? and will it be hard on my tires on the road?

Well the carrier's are different, so an Aussie won't work with the LS carrier... A lunchbox designed for an LS case will need to be larger to fill the void where the clutches were. Really, an open carrier swap isn't too difficult, just use the same shims and races from the open carrier on the correct sides and double check the backlash and it should be good to go.

So you can usually swap carriers without loosing your gear setup?

Well i've done gear swaps using the same carrier and had perfect results with the stock shim set up, but i've never had it work out that way when changing carriers

Yeah, pinion depth isn't affected, only thing that can be is the backlash which was fine on mine, Pat (Totalled) did the same thing in his 31 spline 8.8. I've been daily driving it for a year now after the swap and it's held up.

With my locker I haven't noticed any extra tire wear on the rear. I think the no-slip for your application is ~$450.
