Loads up when cold

My Ranger developed a strange problem, It started yesterday morning, It starts up fine when cold, but when it idles down after a couple minutes, it acts like it is tring to flood out. I have to keep playing with the gas, and after about 2 minutes it clears up and runs fine. Like it said it started yesterday and did it again this morning. It atarts fine the rest of the day. Thought someone out there might have a idea what may be causing this.

how many miles are on it??
when was the last time it was tuned up?? plugs, wires, cap & rotor and filters??
