anyone ordered anything from LMC truck? Now that I got a 3rd vehicle, I can start focusing on some much needed TLC to the ol' girl, without having to worry about putting her back together in time to go to work on Monday!

Looking at sourcing some new panels from LMC. If I'm gonnna spend the time and effort to make her look good, then I don't want some piece of crap part from a wrecker. Prices are good and going to have to do tweaking of the fit regardless of what I use so might as well go new. Anybody heard about service or panel quality? Who are you guys using out there for brand new sheet metal. I made a few replacement panels of my own but it's so much easier to just cut out all the rust on a big panel and weld in a new one and body lines are really hard to match with your own panels.

I just got window gaskets and a dash cover from LMC, I have been very happy with the quality so far (haven't got the dash cover in yet though) My parents were happy with the service (I got them for Christmas)

But as a rule of thumb, aftermarket replacement sheetmetal isn't as good as OEM, it is thinner and more likely to dent and rusts out faster.

My cousin's boyfriend rebuilt his 1980's Chevy truck using aftermarket steel in the early 2000's after his sister rolled it. It has a scary amount of rust on the fenders and talegate already. Dunno where he got it but there can't be too many of the dies floating around to make this stuff, and the vast majority of it comes out of China.

When I rebuild my Ranger, I am using OEM junkyard stuff. Parts like a fender or bed isn't too hard to figure out if it is messed up before you pay for it.

Like he said, the quality is nowhere near that of OEM. The other thing about LMC sheetmetal, is it is not CAPA certified.

I just got a set of their window rubbers. They came in fast and they fit perfectly.

I just got ... a dash cover from LMC...

is that dash cover something that goes over the old one or do you replace the other dash cover??? what's it look like around the instrument cluster and vents? can you post a picture???

It goes over the old one, I am waiting until it warms up to install it to be sure everything works out right.

I have almost had the truck for 9 years and the dash hasn't changed, I figure I can stand to look at it for a couple more months. :icon_bounceblue:

I don't think they have a tech article about installing one of those... talk to the mods about getting it put in the tech articles...... redundant wording....... so, take lots of pictures and start planning it out!

I think a lot of people are unsure about getting a cover for their dash.
