I have a 2003 Ranger with a flex fuel 3.0 Vulcan, and I believe a 5r44e transmission. Everything else I know little about. I like to be sure about every little detail so if you think for example I actually have a 5r55e, let me know just for the sake of knowledge.

My question is can I reliably get 450 to maybe even 700hp out of this and still keep it for at least 5 years/200k miles? I am willing to fully tear down the block and start over, but if that's not entirely feasible what can I drop in? As in drop-in ready, I am not super willing to cut things to make it fit. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I'd also like to add 4wd and active suspension, if anybody knows anything about that that would be pretty valuable.

we all like to dream but 450 is way WAY over the top for your engine.

do some searching/reading about what others have done. and hit the Tech Library tab above.
then check your wallet, power/speed costs money. how fast can you afford to go?
since you're in California check into the restrictions they put on modifications.

search for Tom Morana racing

I'm cheap, and drive slow.

I've been reading some stuff but I need to read more. I was hoping someone could tell me for sure what I can do here, because I haven't really found a good setup yet.
