I have a 1994 Ford ranger XL 2.3l auto

I am looking to lift a little bit. I am looking to be able to fit 29-31 in tires. I picked up a set of 2in blocks for the rear from a 04 4x4 ranger. now for the front should I get new stock coils for a 4x4 and run spacers or a pair of leveling springs?. Also they ask for a spring code im not sure what the code is for a 4x4 coil?. Probley just running 4x4 shocks also. Also if I go with stock coils they make a heavy duty set for a v6 4x4 ranger. would this help any?

I have pretty much the same truck you do. I just put a rough country 4 inch lift on mine but I was able to run 235/75/15 tires without lift which is a 29 inch tire but some leveling springs will put the front end up and look pretty good.

this is with leveling coils

after 4 inch lift with same size tire only these are mud terrains

I'm running 30 in tires on my 95 and I could go 31's easily without lifting it. the only reason i didn't get 31's was the price difference.

It has 195's on it now

as you can see the front springs look a little saggy. What could I use to get 31s or 29s on it.. budget lift

Yea yours sits a lot lower then mine did but i had the same size tires and rims you do. If i didnt have someone wanting them already i would sell you my leveling coils and front shocks

thanks.. but idk what to go with hard decision

do you have a budget? summit racing has skyjacker leveling coils for about 140 and then you just gotta get longer shocks and an alignment. the 4 inch lift would look nice on your truck though but just depends on how much you can or want to spend.

yeah a tad bit lol. the bed is rough so I am going to build a flat bed. how much was the 4 in kit if you dont mind me asking?

I also have a 3in BL that can go in it

these are $139 for the tuff countrys

ahhh alright those are the leveling springs.

what would you guys recommend out of the 3 brands?

im a college kid on a budget thats what sucks lol

If i used the v6 springs in the 4cyl would that help?

I've read that they may give you lift in the beginning but will eventually sag. You will experience a harsher ride though. Don't bother with 4wd and 2wd springs either, they are the same height. The height difference comes from the thickness of the twin traction beam vs. the twin i-beam.

ahh alright.

the superlift springs are 3.5 in

between the springs i have 3 different choice height. but when I get up toward 3.5-4 will i have to think about brake lines and pitman arms.
