Didn't say that it was bad, but when you lump other mods with it and report a gain for those other mods, you're mis-reporting![]()
Well I'm sorry that I can't test every single mod totally separate. My local (if you want to call it that) track is 220KMs away. It gets a bit expensive going there as much as we did for all the testing.

I stand corrected on that - most of the EGR mods I've seen with other vehicles involve deleting the EGR. Went ahead and did a little research across the web on this mod and don't really see any reported gains - again, combined with a tune, it's hard to judge anything.
Well I live in Canada and our emission laws are pretty strict here so the EGR "DELETE" option is NOT a option. I noticed better throttle response and my A/F's changed a tad after the EGR mod.
And I and others have seen basically zero gains - especially on the SOHC, so what's your point?![]()
What cat-backs were they using? I've seen one Flowmaster (junk) cat-back do nothing. All the Magnaflow set-ups have gained about 7-10RWH.P, that I've seen. A few guys at the track have dropped the stock cat back. Basically running through the two CATS only. They were averaging 2-3 tenths drop in E.T's.
Ouch - sounds like something went wrong if the tune was correct before. Hope nothing is hurt.
Ya truck went into the dealer for several stuck closed fuel injectors. Know problem on the Ranger SOHC's. After they replaced all 6 F/I's the truck started running richer. Must of been a bad batch of injectors and we tuned for them, so we figured they weren't flowing their true flow.
Statistically, 5 runs for each configuration are better than 1 each, but then, you only covered a total of 35 of those 200 time slips. I deal with data and analytics every day and would definitely like to see a better analysis if possible..............
Well, with everything all stacked together, you are making progress somewhere - just not definitive of the sources. Hope you reach your goals.

Well there is 200 runs on the truck in 4 years. I didn't say all of them were testing mods. Most are just bracket racing or T&T days. My 99 F-150 has over 400 passes down the 1320 and my 83 Ranger x2 of that.
Needless to say IMO ever mod that I have done has contributed to the decrease in E.T that the truck is currently running.
