Linex or Rhino Linigs?

linex doesnt degrade with age like rhino does, get linex, also if ur in NJ buddy of mine is a dealer :)

Joisey would be kind of a far drive for me. What makes Linex more resilient?

I live in the desert where the sun radiates punishing heat in the summer and want one that wont melt or dry out and crack.

then u want linex, plain and simple

I believe you, but you do sound kind of biased.

What makes the Linex a better product? Is it denser material, or thicker?

If you owned something with Line-x you would be biased too, its great stuff. Anything that I care about gets it. I cant tell you what makes it better, but Ive seen plenty of Rhino linings that over the years have dried up and turned brittle that are prone to cracking and pulling away from the surface.

I found this propaganda online:

I am a Line-X Store Manager in New Orleans Lemme give you the skinny
Line-X is a heated HIGH pressure system, Rhino is a Cold LOW pressure
System Whats the diff. you ask. The Curing process!......the Cold
urethanes take from 24- 72 hours to cure through and through...during
this process they swell slightly,
making them slightly thicker but it leaves for a softer compound,
(Less Durable)

My work truck has line X in the bed and is very thin and getting
chalky looking (its black) after only 8 months of rather easy duty.
this
is why I went with rhino lining, it is a full 1/4" everywhere in my
jeeps
tub whereas the line X in my work truck is an 1/8 "

I tend to think that the Line-X liner's texture and appearance is
nicer than Rhino. In fact, it looks kind of like a factory paint job.
Every feature, curve, and fillet in your bed will be visible. The
Rhino tends to cover up more of this.

Lots of interesting comments from people all over the net.

A friend who works at a local Truck accessories place has a Rhino. He is not satisfied with it. When our two trucks are parked side by side, the difference between our two beds is absolutely astounding. As BD said, the Rhino looks like someone sprayed black cottage cheese on the bed. My Line-X is consistent and level. His has chips gone and some "flaps" where something gouged the lining. His is dull and cloudy in places. Mine is still sparkly.
Line-X, infrared. That's the ticket!!

Rhino=very grippy but very buttery in heat
line-x=very hard (tough) but slick in heat and esp in cold (lots of cargo slipping)
speedliner=harder than line-x but grippier than rhino (best of both worlds)

Hmmmm....

Man. I'm going to be in the market for a spray-in liner probably when I get my tax refund. I'd really like to find out which of them has the best anti-skid surface so things are less likely to slide around back there.

Why couldn't you just put all those posts in one large one with a few lines in between each quote? It would make it alot easier to read.

I don't have experiance with either, but my uncle has a Line-X and he loves it. It looks like it did the day he got it. It has held up well and it gets ABUSED. Trannys, engines, axles, chunks of metal, anything you can imagine has been flying/ bouncing around in that liner for about 5 years now. As far as I know, no chunks have fallen off either, still stuck on everywhere.

EDIT: If you get a bed liner, do the over the rails one. The tops of the bed get beat, especially the top edge of the tailgate. My uncle said that is the only thing he would have done differently. Instead of just going under the bed sides, he wishes he'd have gone over them too.

if ur lookin for antiskid then neither are really what ur lookin for, linex is designed to protect the bed as a bed liner, and rhino is more of a grippy substance, if u want antiskid then there are companies that make full real rubber liners that woudl work better for anti skid, but ive had full trucks linexed before and that was 3 years ago, to this day the color hasnot faded at all and is still fully intact, the reason my buddy started up a linex dealer is when he got his new 06 f-350 he got a rhino liner, whitin a year it had all chipped off, he tried linex on the tailgate and since then it has not even faded in color, that sold him and invested his money into a franchise.

linex is also prepared properly, they remove the bed alot of the times when installing, and do not spray over bed bolts like rhino does, the prepare the bed down to bare metal b4 sprayin the bed. rhino just sprays over the paint, no prep process
