yes i am, i got em for free, and there the kind with bolt tabs, so im gonna re inforse and tie where i mount it into the frame, and i actually might do a cage, eventually
what bike did you get for free? did it run?
i got the bike you see, an 81 yamaha xj650 maxim, it has a dead battery, and the valves need some serious addjustment(they tick louder than the motor) and itl need a new rear tire.
it also has a problem shifting, some return spring is broken, so the leaver sits all the way down, it does shift ok tho
and it needs the carbs cleaned.

im thinking about putting dirtbike bars on it, and painting all the chrome and silver(exept the motor) either red or black, like black b2s bike, only less work

and i still cant belive no one sall the pink dice.....
there pimpin

Stop and think about it for a minute! that is VERY unsafe!!!

which is? the belts
i might do a bar in the back of the cab , idk yet, or i might do summit plastic buckets and do a cage, i can do it(i work on a racecar, with the guys who build the chassis) but i just dont know exactly what im doing yet

how is it unsafe if i reinforce where i bolt it, and reinforce to the frame?

i might not be no professional, but i think the bed liner is upside down, :D,
but anways your truck is amazing and i was tryin to p.m you a few times for pics of it cause i wanted to see what mine would be with another 4 inch lift, thanks

if you dont set the belts up right , if you hit some thing head on it put all that force down on your sholders and can break your neck or back, so do it right.

ya, i just found my camera the other night night(right when i got home from wheeling) (DAMNIT!!) and decided to try it out

o ant thats 4 inches all together, no body lift, and the rear springs are SHOT you cant see the explorer springs on the saw horses behind it

o and that was my dads dumb idea with the liner, i think hes retarted, but he helps me pay for parts if i dont have the money(than borrows twice that when i do!!)

ya good point ,ill get mark to set em up for me, we gotta keep him busy...

Definitly build a roll cage 1st! If you were to roll the truck with out a cage you basically are committing suicide!!! At least with a factory seat belt you can duck down into the seat. With 4 or 5 point harnesses you cant move. Make sure you build at least a 4 point cage mounted to the "frame" then mount the seats your going to get and harnesses to the cage.
NEVER NEVER mount the harnesses to the sheet metal of the truck. If you need any advise feel free to to ask. :)

lol, well, it looks better then mine does with the yellow 90 doors right now LOL

im actually gonna wait now, until i do a cage
cuz ya, i could flip it, where i wheel is brutal ant twisty, and we go fast(last time we did 45 down a sand (fire axcess kinda) road), so ya,
where should i make the cage go through the body
i think ill probably do the type with 2 plates, and a peice of solid stock inside the cace itself, and that slides into the bracket and bolts together the floor is sandwitched

i had my new one lost for a week and cant find it and now that my truck is pimped with no bed and light bar, everybody from trs has got to come see it untill i get my camera :D

Yes but yours is 4X4 , so its about 3 inches higher than mine stock, and since i already have a 3 inch body lift, mine would be like yours with a 4", only a little bit higher probably,

o and that was my dads dumb idea with the liner,

if you bolt it in, it will be just like a cap!

no boggin, its only lifted 2 inches in the rear(and stock it had a two inch block) and 4 inches in the front, same as 2wd in the front stock

its only an inch taller, i just have bigger tires, its really not that big

and hell no that thing aint gettin bolted down, its just to keep the stuff in the bed dry, and keep it from rusting
idk why, i think my dad wasnt thinking too straight when we did that
