We usually head down to evans creek near mt. rainier, the mudder is still in progress however.
put together custom 3in. lift blocks for my cabgot them under truck only to find out that the rear cab mount bolts are a half inch to short
only place in town that might have them isn't open on a sunday.
might experiment on making my own bolts , not sure yet. will post pics of lift blocks when i get them.
but at least you get a general idea of what the results are at this point, so far i am pleased with the results i have achieved, even if it does look a little redneck
tomorrow i will be able to get the bolts for the back mounts
and i have almost zero patience when it comes to waiting[could have ordered them,30 bucks and a two day wait] i did the next best thing and drilled the nuts on the bushings to half inch and got half inch bolts four bucks cheaper and other than the bumper i should be done today
but the tranny is TOAST
, oh well am gonna find a used one for the momentand save my coin and have the one i got rebuilt, can get your basic overhaul for 550 bucks, but if i want i can spend as much as want and make it real tough, which is what i think i am gonna do so that i can have a lower first gear ratio

well so far my new tranny is everything i hoped for, all i done was a shift kit and low stall torque converter. just put new/used rubber on today with a little more height and better traction up frontso what's the progress with the tranny?

now i can have fun, when i'm not fishing that is.WHAT?? YOU THINK FISHING ISN'T FUN?
NO!!!
good info, i had 305/70/16's which worked out to 32.8 or 33'si always use this to convert metric tire sizes
http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/Metric_To_Inch_Tires.html
315/75/16 = 34.6" so you threw some 35's on there, what'd you have before?
thanks, gotta ask ya, how do you quote someone from another thread and post it into whatever thread you happen to be responding to? for example i noticed that you quoted me in particular from a thread dealing with some gal wanting to trade her truck for a firebird. i'm glad it was quote worthy, i've just recently figured out how to multi-quote in the same message but it is driving me insane [and i just don't have enough to smoke, just kidding]that i can't figure it out. as to the question on older fords, they're out there if you can find someone who wants to part with them, otherwise there is always the junkyard. sometimes you can find reasonable deals where you can pick-up a bare shell, no motor/tranny, for cheap up to a couple grand for something that still moves but may need motor or whatever. you just have the time to look [and the patience]. there is all kinds of F150 stuff up here but i'm F250 so that don't do me any goodLookin good man... I love those old fords...
Do you have any idea why they are so hard to find? The old chevy's are a dime a dozen every where. Even on like ebay there is usually way more of the 70's chevys. There are virtually none of the 70's fords locally near me. Plus the shortbeds seem much more rare then the chevy ones too.![]()
,but that's ok. as for the fishing, that's my new anger management. like i said in my homebrew bumper thread, i can mentally photoshop someones face to whatever fish i am killing and cut it's friggin head off
. i guess you could figurativly say i am gettin paid to mentally kill my enemies one fish at a time. the money isn't always great but it's fun and does pay the bills, oh and did i say i get to kill stuff, i'm really fixated on that, just don't drink an ass load of coffee and eat a bunch of chocolate on an empty gut
it REALLY sucks balls now i can have fun, when i'm not fishing that is.WHAT?? YOU THINK FISHING ISN'T FUN?
NO!!!
i'll have to give it a whirl and see what comes upYeah I put that quote in my signature from that thread from Trucksgetdirty. That was some hilarious shit!!!
I don't know how others do it, but the part I wanna quote, I just push the "quote" button on the original post, then I highlight it and copy it. Then I go to edit signature in the User CP and paste. Make sure you include all the brackets and what not, or it will not work. Like my quote on my last post, it did not work.
i live up on south mount angeles road, sometimes i drive around in my 78 camaro, it has a primered black and green hood and closed hood scoop w/primered grey[bottom half] trunk lid with drafting graffics on the back window. it's also black like my truck. how long you been in the area and do you know any good wheeling spots local to us. hell send me a pm, i'm in town until tomorrow, i leave after 6pm to go fishingwhere at in PA gotmudd? Haven't seen that truck in town I know I would recognize it.
