I have mounts on my roll bar for 2 lights. I like the Pro Comp lights for their prices, and I think I'm gonna go with rectangular lights, but should I go 5x7 or 6x9? I don't want something that looks too small like I bought the ones at wal mart, but I don't want lights that look ridiculously large for a daily driver 4x4. Opinions? Comments? Square lights are bad?

I think Pro Comp lights are over priced... I have two 55watt KC Apollo Series Spot Lights and they shine further than my brights. I got them from JC Whitney for under 80 bucks.

Just my 2 cents.

Am I gonna need a higher amp alternator with a couple lights? I have a 300w sub in there too, but that's got a capacitor. Will I be pushin my stock alt?

I don't know anything about the sub... but you won't need a bigger alternator for a couple lights... hell, I think you can do fine with the stock alternator with 4 lights.

get Hella 550 rectangular lights. larger than a 5x7 but smaller than a 6x9 lamp.
cost is around $75 for the kit

Oh cool I looked them up and I like those. Is there a favorite source that I should buy from with the best prices?

Walmart usually has those Hellas for a good price.

you might be fine, I have 4 130w 6in rounds on my headache rack and 2 5x7 55w lights in my push bar and i fried my stock one, blew out the regulator. upgraded to the 130amp one.

I would guess that if you had 6 55watt ones, you would have been fine, but I think the 130's pushed it over the top lol.
