I ahve an '88 ranger, I havn't found any euro tail lights that I like so I was thinking about tinting the stock tail lights, has anyone tried this, wandering if you did what you used,
Thanks Kenny

There are various products out there, I personally have not used them. Some look good others are horrible and it all depends on who applied it. Unless someone replies with a specific product, just do a google for tailight spray tint or something similar. Yes they are spray on - so care must be taken to get an even coating on BOTH lights LOL>

Good Luck and welcome to TRS . . .

Thanks I work in a body shop and the painter never heard of tinting lights:annoyed: LOTS OF HELP HUH.
Kenny

go and ebay and search for "night shade" its a spray on style tint, apply very thin coats till u reach the darkness u like.

Just make sure it's legal, I don't know where you live, but I had a buddy get pulled over because he had tinted covers over his lights... This was during the day too:icon_confused:

a buddy of mine just got some transparent black spray paint from the hardware store and did his. looked pretty good too

ive just tried to do use the VHT nite shades on my dome light and third brake light, (for practice) and found that its very touchy paint to put on since its very thin and the whole transparent deal. i think its very possible to get good results you just have to take your time and go really light. i will get some pics of the bad results and hopefully some good ones when i get there.

Night Shade works awsome, if you prep everything how they say. I did my friends BMW with it. I did front corner lights and the tail lights. I used a spray on wax and degreaser and did light even coats letting it dry between each one.

i had an old car i just took some regular black semi gloss spray paint from lowes and did about two light coats, blacked out everything and still worked at night hope this helped
