Light suggestions

In Canada, you can only have HIDs in a car that came stock with them, you cant upgrade your non-HID vehicle to one with HIDs... That said, there are tonnes of kits on Ebay and shit available, so It must be legal for someone...

On my 93 I replaced the lenses with new ones and I installed sylvania bright stars. They still didn't throw enough light for me. My piaa 525's are aimed straight but light up every where in from of the truck( Sided,front,about 50 feet into the air). I also installed a set of napa 550's ( Dual element ) as reverse lights, those work great. Plus I don't have problems with people running there high beams behind me anymore. :)

Replacing the bulbs in the fogs is an option I've considered, as well as removing the surrounding metal shield, I think it is, from around the bulb. Seems I recall some guys doing that, but it was pretty vague as to what was accomplished. Now my lights are sealed like the headlights are, so I would have to heat them up in an oven to break the lens apart from the housing, to get to the shroud, or whatever that metal piece is called. There is one screw holding it in place around the bulb. Thoughts?:icon_cheers:

It's an '04 Edge BTW.

I have done that in the past. But the stock bulbs on my piaa 525's are great. They are H4s and are amber/white( Two elements) and are GREAT!!!!

Just a little bit. Not much though. I will get some pictures of that light bar for you when when I get a chance.

Great, look forward to it.
I got my Platinum Nighthawks installed today, and hope to see a big improvement on the way to work in the morning. I also got a BrightBox, hope all this works like I hope, the box will be installed this weekend. The aux lights are still a real possibility.:icon_cheers:

The new Platinums seem to help a little, not as much as I'd hoped though. I'm going to hook up the Brightbox today. I have simulated the effect by holding my dimmer switch in the flash to pass position, and just maybe I'll leave it at that.
But, using the existing holes in the bumper for the license frame, gave me an idea. How about using a piece of aluminum or steel angle, bolted through those holes, and mounting some lights on that? Polished stainless would be even better, going with the grille stainless. Thinking about threading the bolts through a rubber grommet between the angle and the bumper, so if I don't like it, I won't have scratched the paint up on the bumper.
Anyone?:icon_cheers::icon_cheers:

Those Hella's are still an option, but I'm thinking the angle steel/aluminum/stainless thing is what I'd do initially, then if I change my mind, go with a manufactured light bar., Black would be the colour for sure.
I just got back in from checking out that Bright Box, seems to get me a better light pattern, I know no more light, just a d bit different pattern with the high aand low beams on at the same time. With my setup, the fogs come on as well when on high beam.
One thing I noticed when wiring in the fogs, there appears to be a verticle adjustment on them. Hmm, maybe another option. :icon_idea:
