Ok just got this truck. 1995 Ranger automatic 4x4
Lights work... Bright lights do not. Brake lights don't work or turn signals. Help :((
Any ideas. I did take it to a friend and before that when the headlights were on when you hit brake pedal, blinkers wouldn't work but during the day when lights were not on the blinkers worked with the brakes pressed. But the bright lights didn't work at this point either. The front blinkers work.

I read in another thread a while back that the headlights run through the multifunction switch (signal light, wiper, high beam) on the side of the steering column. I'd be guessing, but I would suspect that to be your problem. Change the switch, and, if my guess is correct, everything should work as normal.

I agree, the multifunction switch is likely to be at least part of the problem. It may be the whole problem, as all of the circuits you mention go through there.

Very good to know, that part can't be too much and an easy fix! Thank you... I will try that first!:)

Would I need the connector (first link) also? or just second link??

Rip your column trim off and find out. The connector should only be needed if it is damaged.
