light bar won't turn on for a few minutes after turning off

Like the title says. If I've used my lightbar for awhile and click it off sometimes it will not turn back on immediately. Other times it will. Sometimes it'll just flick on after 5 minutes.

Possibly need a new relay? Its old and kind of busted up. Also it is small in size.

Have you checked to see if the bar is getting power when it's not working?

If no power, then yeah it's probably a relay or switch issue (try tapping the relay with your finger... if it turns on, then either bad relay or the relay coil is not getting enough voltage).

I had not checked that because this only ever happens when driving. So I always just use the bright till it turned back on. I did rewire the whole system with a different relay and it seems to be working fine now.

Probably was the relay going out & once it got hot it had to cool back down before it would work again.
