I have posted over in the Fab section and never got much responce on this question. I figure most of us read the Gen. Discussion area and post more photos here. I need some openions from you guys before I go to some trouble. So here is what I am doing:

I had this light bar made up by a seller on Ebay last year. He did my Hi-Lift receiver bracket and I asked him to make me this light bar. I was going to use the light bar on my custom bumper of the truggy project I was putting together with a friend who passed away before his birthday earlier this year. So…I sold the truggy and the proceds went to his family. I kept a few things from me since I paid for them. So…I am thinking of cutting off the bottom a few inches and making some brackets to weld to the bottom of the bar as shown in the last photo. This will fit in between the upper part of the font bumper on my 99 Ranger. I have two metal supports I can drill and tap four bolt holes and mount it there.

This is the braket setup I want to make up and weld to the lower part of the light bar. It will be in porportion to the light bar of course. What do you guys think? Good idea?

In this photo below you can see the clear driving lights on either side of the receiver. There are two metal brackets that I want to drill and tap bolt holes. I have the lights mounted on the bottom of the bumper area and the brackets I am talking about are to the outside of the lights right up against the bumper area. The lights have been removed already some tiime ago. Will this cause any problems with me drilling and taping some 1/4 or 3/8 holes in the brackets? So..before I do this a just want some feedback about doing this and hope I will not caus any issues. I can't see it causing any issues but just want to make sure before I do it.
