Went to bed early last night.

Brought this home yesterday.

This is how I pull a pitman arm.

One Fawked up Rad arm crossmember. Note how the Radius arm is touching the frame.

Hey, at least I am working on my truck and not running to the other side of the contry with out fixing my truck first:thefinger:.

That's some funny shit!:woot:

Damn, that's a cheater bar! My pitman arm had to be removed with a torch and air impact.

You get new leaf spring brackets from the stealer , I mean dealership?

I'm liking the look of that rear bumper. I may do something like that with mine.
My stock bumper has had too many encounters with objects. lol. A tree, creek bank......BMW that was following to close....:D

Yeah, If I dont want to strain myself, I just throw that sucker on the end of whatever wrench I am using and something usually moves.

I also used that chisel to help separate the pitman arm. A 4lb sledge also helps.

The forward hangers came off a truck that I parted out. The rear ones are from the stealership.

Yeah, my bumper had seen better days and I wanted to make it match the front one.

So far today its been freaking beautiful to work on the truck. 70-75 ish, Cloudy, not insanely humid. Absolutely perfect.

Got the stock pivot brackets off, the front end out of the exploder and am working on tearing it down.

I plan on using the radius arm crossmember and driverside beam from the exploder to replace the ones in my ranger.

Maybe I haven't been paying too much attention, but what are you doing for a lift up front?

I have 6" super lift brackets and am using 8" skyjacker soft ride coils which should be arriving today. The bumper on the front will help the coils sink down to 6",

Here is my progress from yesterday.

That crossmember is FUBAR.

I swapped the grease fittings on the ball joints so that I can actually grease the top one.

Not yet. I will be building some as soon as I sell my 98 ranger and buy a welder.

I am figuring out Ujoints right now. (first time doing them)

Then I am going to bend the frame back because it got bent near the radius arm member on the driverside. Next will be the tranny crossmember, a 2 minute job, and then Hopefully I can put it all back together.

Good stuff!

I'll build my own like Todd and 4x4junkie. Just using some 2" DOM to extend them 10-12". Buying them are just way to expensive!
