Hello, I have a couple questions about lifting/leveling. My front sits 2.5" lower than the rear. I would like to use 2.5" coils in the front and an adjustable (1-2") shackle in the rear. If I use the 2.5" coils do I need to do any mods to the rest of the front suspension? Also does anyone know what's the biggest size tire I'd be able to fit w/15" wheels after the lift? Thanks!

They make 2.5 coils...?
I'd go with 2". For one the .5" rake looks good, and for two, the 2" kit pushes the limits of a proper wheel alignment.

31x10.50R15 or 265/75R15

Imo, if you wanna lift it, lift it. Leveling kits, spacers, shackles, and such are not the way to go. The stock suspension was not designed to do what actual lift kits do. A proper alignment and safety are the biggest concerns.

Not saying not to level it, I'm a big fan of leveled Rangers on 31"s. Just don't buy all the crap from AutoZone's towing section, and eBay, and then come back asking why your truck is all messed up.

Use the search function and the tech library. All this stuff has been covered in detail many of times.

Use Skyjacker 132x coils. They are 2 " coils and will level out the front end without compromising the ability to align. You will also need 0-4 degree adjustable caster/camber bushings. MOOG makes that bushing and its available at most auto parts stores. Without those bushings you will not be able to realign the truck.

The only pain about just leveling the front end of the TTB is that you are going to have to teach yourself how to align your own truck. Its very easy to learn and I don't understand myself why so many so called alignment pros have no idea how to work an adjustable bushing on a Ford TTB front end but not many do and youll be hard pressed to find someone who can get your truck aligned.

2 of my 1997 4x4s are leveled out with the Skyjacker 132x springs and I run 33x10.50x15 tire on the stock 15x7 wheel. I have no issues with rubbing or turning lock to lock. 33x10.50 or narrower on stock wheels will be the only 33s you can run with only the 2" lift in the front. Anything wider will hit the fender lip and radius arms. 31x10.50 fits perfectly without any issues.

Thank you guys for the responses. I appreciate the help and will be taking your advice.
