So when I hack the flares off the pony body it'll be the same width... Cool.

Fabbing up mount from the frame to the subframe mounts sounds better, then adding some bracing to the body to stiffen it back up. Besides I'd use the Exploder drivetrain which would put a 4.0L right where the sub frame would be.
