I'm gonna bring this back up.

Has anybody used f150 springs and coils on a '98 + ranger?

Many people, jump on that search button and go on an adventure!

You don't think I have? Dude I spend most of my time on pirate..

I've been on just about every ranger forum I know of along with racedezert, most of what I'm finding is lift spindles or 1500-3k kits..

I was referring to the TRS search button, but the F-150 coils are very popular on the 80's broncos and rangers, but as for the 90's people usually use the coils for low budget pre runner builds.

Sure ya on a ttb its great, but on a 98+ I see lots about the spindles, some about control arms l and not too much about Just the springs..

And that's every forum I've searched so for...

It really depends on your suspension, either torsion bar or coils. You can use F-150 coils but you have to do a bit of modifications, usually they get you about 2 inches of lift. Spindles and shackles are the most common with the newer suspensions.

Roger, think I might try the f150 cois if I can't find a 3-5" set used or cheep..

lift

did mine different 3" body lift from summit $150, change out the 26" tires for 31's mounted on americans got a deal @ $400 like new set, total cost $550, and I got the tires you dont have listed in your cost, total lift 5 1/2" ,dont have the turn radius problem with the 3" spindles, and if you want to level it then do a spring hanger flip on the rear, I must be a bigger cheap skate than you:icon_thumby:

And see my problem is I can't stand a body lift, I won't tolerate on MY vehicle's..

If you're happy with it, then more power to ya but I can't do it.

I get off the boat on the 17th and I'll hit up the local yard and see what I can find, I've also been reading up on GM 1500 coils and 64" leafs...
