Lifted 4 inches, axle shaft interference.

No, there's a bigger problem under there than just bad bushings...

I'd take care of that bent bracket first, and then see where you need to go from there.

I have one more question to ask about this. Once again, I went and crawled under the truck to check things out again. The bracket that holds the passenger side axle beam, the one you have to grind the rivets out of, in stock form it is bolted to the rear of the cross member. Now I have a steel 1/4" plate, bolted to the front of the cross member, with the bracket bolted to the rear of the steel plate. I got to thinking, if I cut the lip of the cross member on the rear side of it, I could bolt the steel plate piece to the rear side, and then if I am thinking correctly, that would allow more clearance for the yoke, and fix the clearance issue rubbing the axle shaft.

yes the stock bracket is rivted to the back side of the crossmember. That was the first thing I thought off when I first seen your thread the other night.

But by looking at other threads with people showing the holes in thier diffs from the drop plated like you have, that looks to be the norm is to mount the plate on the front side of the x-member. like your is.

search "drop plate" and I bet you can find a pic here someplace.

....measure you wheel base and see if they come up equal . that's where I would start.

Also is your diffside beam plated in on the back side to box the beam?..sorta looks like it in the pics. but then again it sorta looks like its "two tone". and making it look as its boxed.

EDIT---------------

here in this link you can see the drop plate in a few of the pics.

My vote is the P-side bracket. Like canyoncritter said, those brackets are prone to bend/break and punch holes in diffs, etc. They don't take very much abuse.

I would personally take a look at the Skyjacker brackets, as Combs Customs mentioned. The are all new, one piece brackets, made beefy, and will work with your 4in lift. $227 P/N CHB35 at TRS offraod and fab.

Well, I was hoping not, but you guys are right about the bent brackets. I found a nice gap on part of the bracket. So the bracket is definitely bent back. Looks like I will be getting the skyjacker brackets.
