I know no one makes 2nd gen lift spindles. My question is could they be used on a second gen 2wd? I assume no as i can't find an answer through the search functions... but am curious if anyone has looked further into this or even tried it

also side not could spindles from larger trucks such as broncos or f150's be used and lift the rangers?

Well since your suspension is completely different from the style that uses a "lift spindle" (should more properly be called a "lift knuckle") you won't find them for your truck, and you can't use them. Lift spindles are for short/long arm suspensions, also called IFS or SLA. You have a twin I-beam suspension, so to lift it you want drop brackets (because they drop the beams away from the frame) and longer springs.

F150/FSB springs can be used to get some lift out of the front end, but most of the other parts will be pretty worthless to you.

Okay i agree they really should be called lift knuckles. Maybe this comes from my lack of knowledge on the ibeam suspension, this is my first ranger. Im used to older toyota p/u and 4runners as Im from Hawaii and those are in surplus there. Anyhow to my knowledge the drop brackets lower where the ibeams and radius arms mount to the trucks frame. A lift spindle/knuckle is intended to mount to the same part of the suspension as the oem knuckle would but extend down where the wheel mounts to the spindle without changing any other dynamics of the suspension. With this basic knowledge I don't get why a lift spindle wouldn't be compatible with the TIB setup.
