Hi there,
I have a 2008 ranger FX4 and im getting keys and and add a leaf kit put in to bring it up a couple of inches. now my question is weather or not i should do the 3" body lift as well? what problems might i come up against that would make it not worthwhile to to the body lift? id like to lift it as much as possible without putting in a solid front but i dont want to run into big problems.
thanks for the help.

your much better off going with a 4" superlift...its expensive but its the real deal if you want a lift

yea ive looked into the superlift but at $6000 installed and after tires its kinda pricey

i believe factory ford pre '08 keys will provide you more lift. with the aal in the back and 3" body lift you should be able to fit 33's.

6k wtf? Get some friends And a case of beer and save yourself 4 grand, i would not molest a 08 with a bodylift, its cheap, looks like shit with a gap, you have to put on radiator brackets that will look like shit when you pop the hood, you lose your front tow hooks, and you wont be able to tow anything at all with your hitch because you mount it up with some brackets so its not hanging down, also your exhaust will look goofy hanging where its at stock while the body is a foot away. Save your money and do not buy those keys, turn in the torsion bars to level the front with the back, you dont need add a leafs unless you want the back higher then the front, with add a leafs its gonna ride likr a f350 with no weight in it.

Before I dropped 6K on a 4 inch lift I'd put fully build Dana 60's under the front and back, and still have a grand left in my pocket...and BTW, here is a 04 with a 3"BL, 33" MT's no suspension mods...

Nice looking truck.....I had a 3" BL on my 96 and didn't really like it much. But that may just change my mind on a BL....

They do, but when you drop the spindle (raising the vehicle in the process) you put too much of an angle on the axle shaft, therefore needing the diff housing to be lowered to correct it, which is why the lift kit costs so much, cuz your basically building a completely new frame and mounting system for the drive axle and components
