Can I use a trailmaster front lift off a 91 Explorer for my 87 Ranger if I also swap in the Dana 35 from the Explorer?

I know I need to shorten the front driveshaft, but by how much?

Thanks...

PS...Still need advice on replacement coil buckets....

Everything should work just fine, I haven't done the D28-35 swap, but tech library and other's say to shorten the shaft 1"-1 1/2" depending on lift height.

The length is decided by the lift. I did the 28 to 35 swap on my Ranger and only had to take about a 1" out, some have to take more.
