i heard with the rangers with extended cabs with two piece drive shafts u have to buy a new drive shaft and do something with the transmission bracket to make it fit?? is what i hear true??

Yes, the stock two-piece driveshafts tend to vibrate pretty bad after you lift it.

You need to remove the carrier bearing bracket from the crossmember, and move the crossmember forward a few inches (align the rear holes on the crossmember with the old "front" holes on the frame).

The metal skidplate on the gas tank will need it's edge trimmed down about 1.5" as well (this is to clear the shaft when the suspension flexes while offroad).
