I hope that you are referring to already-fallen trees...
Bodylift Pros:
Low cost
Gives more room for bigger tires
Doesn't alter the suspension geometry, more likely to maintain factory-like ride
CoG is raised less than with an equivalent-height suspension lift
More clearance for when working around the engine & transmission.
Bodylift cons:
Poor aesthetics (leaves the frame exposed more underneath, along with gaps)
Doesn't improve suspension performance
Frame clearance is only increased by that of the bigger tires
Suspension lift pros:
Room for bigger tires
Improves suspension performance
Improved frame clearance vs. bodylift (better breakover angle)
Suspension lift cons:
Higher cost
If steering geometry is not maintained properly, poorer handling and accelerated tire wear.
If you aren't going to be doing much wheeling, a bodylift would probably be sufficient.
Hope that helps.
