ok,i know about the suspension section in the tech library, and i didnt find what i was looking for, im wondering how i can find out what size leveling spacers i need for my truck to make it sit parallel to the ground, im thinking 2" but it looks like itd need to be more than that. its a 94 single cab short box... its a serious nose dragger... looking to remedy that... thanks for looking

im buying the like $50-$80 set up on ebay, just the spacers, no nets or any of that crap, its my highschool truck, it doesnt need to last for 20 years on the same set up, so please dont preach to me about getting coil nets or however you guys who are planning on keeping te truck for 20 years did it... thanks again,

if its a serious nose dragger like you say, your springs are worn out, and a lot of ppl on here are gonna tell you to get new springs anyway, because at some point, worn springs can become broke springs, which is not a good thing. however, from what i have read about coil spacers, they don't always give you the same amount of lift as the thickness of the actual spacer, so try checking into that. i'm not sure but i seem to remember reading somewhere that a 2" thick spacer nets a little more than 2 inches of lift? someone correct me if i'm wrong tho

dont preach to me about getting coil nets

Preach to me about what a coil net is. Sounds interesting, I have no idea what the smell it is.

Measure from the ground to the bottom of your body front and back and see how much lower lower it is in the front compared to the back. You will then have something to start with as far as how high you need to go.

get new coil nets, purple ones are self leveling for ext cabs....the ones with blue on them. usually can get them cheap at the junkyard out of honda trunks.

go to fastenall or another bolt house and get yourself a stack of 1 1/4" flat washers (will be 1 3/8" ID) and place them under the bottom coil spring seat, tune to your own feeling... $5 leveling kit not including the needed alignment after that's done...

I had an issue with getting my ranger aligned a few years ago. The front springs had sagged so much that they couldn't align it. I bought a set of skyjacker leveling coils. The worked great. I am lifting my truck now. If you are interested in picking up my older lift coils we could work out a deal. They provided about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of lift. I have the TTB suspension.

Also the ratio for spacer to lift is 1:1.5 so if you put on a spacer thats just under an inch and a half you would get about 2"of lift. But personally. My vote is for buying new lift coils

and how much would an adequate set of springs cost me?

well i just found one for my truck and the whole spheal is about $250 im not looking to soend that kind of money on my truck, the truck itsellf was $700 for christs sake... i think ill just do what "josh-the-ranger" said, and measure and get some spacers

Go with washers.

Divide however much lift you need by 1.5, and if that number is less than the stud length at the bottom of the coil spring, put however many washers it takes to get that height.

I'd put a stack 1.5" tall (since your springs are shot) assuming there is enough length on the stud.

You looked in the tech library huh? Well did you know we have a store here too wise guy?

There is a good set of leveling coils, but also look around in the classifieds. You don't need to spend nearly 250 dollars for a pair.

I'd suggested new coils or new leveling coils if you have the money to do so, but if you wanno go ultra cheap go with the washers (they are in the tech library too....did you see that article?)

We cannot tell you exactly what size spacer you will need, only a ballpark figure, since every truck is different. Sort of a guessing game and then go from there.

Don't forget the $100 alignment afterwards...

Depends on the truck, some got longer studs than others. And yet others got really short ones. Luck of the draw.

My truck had 1.5" available to use.

OK this is what is getting me. Everyone says that your spacer ratio in 1:1.5. Well when I put the daystar leveling spacers on they measured exactly 2 inches and I netted exactly 2 inches of lift. And my alignment was almost perfect the tires are \ / just barely. And I could easily fit another 1.5 inches of lift/spacers before I run into alignment problems. And my coils are not that saggy.
