Lately I have been wanting to level my ranger 4x4. I just bought my ranger about 6 months ago and i have no idea what to do. Can i just adjust the stock torsion or do I need to buy a torsion kit and have it installed? Or can I do it myself? Thanks in advance.

wont that screw up the tire alignment?

Yes, it you will need to realign it.

Do what I do with my 93. Drive around with 500 to 600 lbs of crap in the back:D

I just got a 93 Ranger as well and I would like to level it to.
What about using the 2” Daystar Comfort Ride Suspension kits?
And do you need to replace the shocks?

Do not use anything but metal washers/spacers. The poly ones tend to squish down and break apart under the immense weight of the coil spring on it.

Shocks don't HAVE to be replaced, but it's recommended you get 1.5-2" longer shocks up front.

^^+1 on that... although it also depends on what the abuse is going to be on your truck... washers or spacers will do if you just want to level it out for the looks, if not, get leveling coils.

Regarding shocks, same story.. you can get shock spacers at NAPA I believe, but the ideal would be to get longer shocks if you're doing any trailing.. There are lots of threads of people that have performed leveling on TTB rangers with mixed results.. take a look at the tech section, lots of info in there. Bottomline it all depends on whether you want just looks or function, and how much funcion you want.

Good luck!! :icon_thumby:
