Can somebody help me understand a leveling kit. A buddy put one on his F-150, he was so proud of it. He wanted me to see it, so he showed it to me. I didn't know what I was looking at because I couldn't see what the point of it was. It looks like the ass is under a heavy load for no reason. IMO wasn't even level. it also looked like it put more stress on the front axels because they were preloaded, looks like front end handling would be compromised if he were pulling a heavy load. Is a leveling kit different than a suspension Lift/lowering kit?

personal taste. if his front is higher than his rear end then its apparent he put something more than a leveling kit on. leveling kits are usually 2"(ish) strut spacers for newer silverados and f150s

anyways, more about the preloaded axles...

It does kick the ends of the axleshafts down more and maybe it hadn't been aligned yet.

I don't care for the look for what I do with a truck personally, I like a little rake.
