I went all through the front end of my 93 ranger ext cab 4x4, new ball joints, tie rods, drag link, sway bar and radius arm bushings and while I was at it I installed a 2" leveling kit (round aluminum spacer blocks, flat on bottom, slight cone shape on top for the spring to ride on). well, it was quite a job, but not too bad. Initially, with the original camber bushings installed, it had very noticeable positive camber, wayyy positive. So, I installed a set of Moog adjustable camber bushings and set them to take out their max amount of camber and max caster. Had the alignment checked and my toe and caster are near perfect, but the camber is still too much positive, but not a huge amount although I can still see it with the "naked eye". One thing I did notice is that the springs do not fully seat on the leveling blocks, like the tapered section on the blocks are just slightly too big. anyone ever run into this? they are 2" blocks, I may have them machined slightly so the spring will seat better or go to 1.5" blocks to get the camber back toward neutral. I don't know how you can put more than 2" of lift on these trucks and get your camber within spec. What gives?
