Just a little lower

I want to do a modest...1"-2" lowered front and enough in the rear to make it level on my '88 regular cab long bed...and cheap of course...any suggestions?

Yep............read the 1" drop thread in this forum for some advice.

Thanks doorgunner, I just read it. Really just want to make it level but might have to do a 2" front, 3" rear....man love your truck.

If just want it level, try the shackle flip. It'll do between a 1.5" and 2" drop on the rear. Leave the front alone and you'll probably be pretty dang close to level. All it'll cost is the bolts to reattach the hangar.

If you are going to drop any money on lowering the front go ahead to the drop beams. The cost more than drop springs, but you'll be a lot happier with the outcome. Drop beams will ride better and be a lot better on your tires. If you go that route you'll be needing at least a flip kit to drop the rear close to level.
