Hello guys,
Got a question? Heres a little back ground first. I have a 93 4X4 ranger with the 4.0 in it. I bought it back in the winter. It use to set level but rode rough, rough, rough! The previous owner had added spring builders to the front springs, Not the kind you screw in but something different. They looked like all thread with adjustable nuts and brackets that fit in the coils. They had them adjusted way to far casing the coils to bind at the top and bottom, plus they welded them in.
So i decided to remove there handy work in an attempt to improve the ride. After i took out the builders i discovered the damage was done. The springs were sagging and way to weak to hold up the front of the truck. The wheel camber was out bad leaning in at the top.
I work at a salvage yard so i decided to get some (free)springs off a 93 we had just brought in that was setting up nice and level. Thats when i noticed the donor truck had lift blocks under the springs and Tuff Country shocks. Another difference was the springs on the donor truck were longer then the springs off my truck. I'd say about one coil taller.
I have already installed them and all seams to be ok. Truck is level again. The wheels may be leaning out at the top just a bit.
My question is will the taller springs and lift blocks work on my truck with out causeing problem down the road.Is this too much lift ?
