So i bought my ranger from a friend, it has a 3" BL on 33's and the front currently sits about 3.75" lower than the back, which is way too big of a difference for me to ignore. My measurements were from the fender to a line on the sidewall of the tire.

Now i wanted to do a 6" lift on the front, and swap in explorer leafs in the back to level it out, but i have heard mixed things on how the truck will handle afterwards and how much of a nightmare getting things properly aligned can be. Could anyone clear things up for me? Will i be able to get things back to being perfectly aligned? Will it increase the chance of something else breaking while on or off-road?

If i decide not to lift it i would like to find a way to level it for as cheap as possible, i was thinking of removing the 2.5 inch stock blocks from the rear and if necessary adding leveling coils to the front. But that is a last resort if i dont do the lift...

also, the driver side of the truck is about 3/4 of an inch lower than the passenger side, i know this is because of the gas tank and driver weighing down the one side...is there any way to remedy this?

If you want to lift it 6", go with a Skyjacker kit and be sure to get the longer drop pitman arm with it (pt# FA600) and you shouldn't run into any issues with alignment.

To level it side-side, use a washer or two under the driverside coil spring (check to make sure there isn't any broken leaves in the rear springs first though... unless of course you're replacing them).

Yea it being a supercab 4.0L truck, the skyjacker 6" kit will work fine. Run the beams in the 4" drop hole with the 6" coils and it should align pretty easily. I know mine did, I was able to align it with the stock camber/caster eccentrics.

I think it looks good like that, I know what you mean with the back sitting higher than the front. Get some Leveling Coils from skyjacker, and either leave the block, or ditch the block and get some Belltech 6400 shackles (find them at summitracing.com). The shackles have two holes for different heights. You'll still have the same ride, but it should sit level. Its all up to you.

I had to replace my rotted shackles so I already have the 6400's installed which would allow for a very small amount of extra lift. To remove the blocks I would need different u bolts because the threads don't go down far enough.

If I were to use the 4" drop hole would I still need the extreme drop PA or could I use a 4" drop one?

I would still recommend the extreem drop pitman arm.

I'm not running the extreem drop on mine, but It wouldn't hurt.

from my own personal experience i would not go with the coil spacer leving kits unless the truck is only for on road use. i put those spacers in my truck which i use quite a bit for off road and they did not hold up they split right down the side and ended up falling out from underneath the spring about a 2 months after putting them in

Thats why the steel spacers are a much better idea.

how much lift would f150 coil seats give me in the front? And would I need new shocks?

Approx 2".

New shocks about 1.5-2" longer would be recommended, but shouldn't be absolutely required (you just lose a little downtravel is all).

You'll likely need to use the lower axle hole if you use spacers though.
