Hello all. New member here. I'm looking at a 2007 Level 2 FX4 and am wondering what the difference is if any from a new 2010 FX4. There is a $9000 price difference at my location, the 07 is a 28,000Km lease return. I realise the 2010 has rear discs and ABS/RSC, I'm more concerned if the Level 2 package added anything more than the usual FX4 stuff. Looking forward to having an off roader that can carry toys in the back:)

i didnt think there was an FX4 anymore?

looking at the ford site under the build your own looks like the only choices are "XL, XLT, and Sport" no FX4 listed?

The last two years Ford had the good Level II parts listed as separate options.

im not sure if this matters, but the Ford Canada website still shows them having the FX4? wtf. to the OP, get the level II!

^^^ thats because in the us they dont have the fx4 in Canada they do

Up here there is definately 2010 FX4s available. 6 on my local dealers lot, 30,000 for an automatic and 28,000 for the 5 speed manual. I'm considering an 07 level 2 FX4 Auto with 28K on it. Very clean, even has a box liner, asking 20,000CDN for it. Not sure if this is a reasonable price as there are not any others for sale to compare with. Mostly just Sports or XLTs. Does the 2010 have a Level 2 option, Fords Website is confusing, it mentions FX4 but no Level 2.

I think they did away with the level II across the board. I'd buy the used one myself. That isn't a terrible deal. If I found a good condition FX4 Level II manual with that mileage I'd pay 20 USD.

Guess I'll be talking to the dealer with the 07 level 2 tomorrow, see what we can work out. It will be comforting to have this or something similar, to commute with this winter, 300KMs a day in Nova Scotia ice/snow/slush is not a lot of fun. I've been using a Suzuki Swift, anything should be an improvement :)
