Deer season just started TODAY.

Here in Kansas deer season just started TODAY Dec 1st, well, firearms season that is and since I don't bow hunt I will be out the next few days until I shoot at least 3 deer, most likely small bucks or doe's we eat a lot of meat each year, last year I went thru 3 deer in a short time.

Here are the seasons in my area.

* Youth and Disability: Sept.11 - Sept. 19, 2010 (Youth 16 and younger, who possess a valid deer permit, may hunt during this special deer season only while under the immediate supervision of an adult 18 or older. Any person who possesses a valid deer permit and has a permit to hunt from a vehicle pursuant to KAR 115-18-4 or a disability assistance permit issued pursuant to KAR 115-18-15 may also hunt during this season. All resident and nonresident permits are valid, and equipment restrictions designated on permits apply. Hunter orange is required.
* Muzzleloader: Sept. 20 - Oct. 3, 2010 (The following permits may be used during this season in units specified on permit, using muzzleloader or archery equipment: resident or nonresident Muzzleloader Either-species/Either-sex Permit, resident Any-Season White-tailed Deer Permit, nonresident Muzzleloader White-tailed Deer Permit, Hunt-Own-Land Permit, Special Hunt-Own-Land Permit, Antlerless White-tailed Deer Permit, and Antlerless Either-Species Deer Permit. Hunter orange clothing is required
* Archery: Sept. 20 - Dec. 31, 2010
* Early Firearm (DMU 19 only): Oct. 9 - Oct.17, 2010
* Regular Firearm: Dec. 1 - Dec. 12, 2010
* Extended Firearms Whitetail Antlerless-Only: Jan.1 - Jan.9, 2011
* Extended Archery Whitetail Antlerless-Only (DMU 19): Jan. 10 - Jan. 31, 2011
* Special Extended Firearm Whitetail Antlerless-Only: Jan.10- Jan.16, 2011 (Open for units 7, 8 and 15 only)
* Shooting Hours: One-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

Below is a pic of my dad's 26 point monster white tail shot here in kansas, official boone and crocket score is ( 244 non typical ) ( 205 typical ) the current world record is 213 typical. They scored it OFFICIALLY non typical. He sold the rack and it is currently on display in cabellas in Pennsylvania

RTG143, WTF are you talking about when you say "you can't shoot through a window!" That window would be long gone if that were my house!

I didn't buy my tags this year, my buddies keep trying to talk me into it, but I'd rather spend the money elsewhere this year. Filled my tags for the past 5 years. Figured its time to take a break. Yall are getting some nice ones, keep up on the management deer. Tasted the same, helps the land and the future. Safe shootin!

Not much deer over here in washington. I have seen tons but not legal to shoot =\ Mostly does tho saw 1 buck but it was a 1 point Bow hunter FTW

I see on average 15 to 17 deer a night in my neighborhood. It's illegal to hunt there and all the old people feed them. It's insane. I need to break my bow out.... They literally come withing a foot of your window of your car.
