I had my 04 ranger ext cab 4x4 in my shop at work and noticed that it looked like it was tilted to the left side. I took a measument from the center of the rims to the edge of the fenders on all wheels and found out that the left front and rear tires are approx 1in lower than the measurments on the right side. I raised up the front with the torsion bars about a year ago and there is the same amount of threads left in the torsion key bolt. I also just recently realized that both sway bar links are completely snapped off from the swaybar. I ordered replacments.

Could this be a bad rear left leaf spring and maybe caused by the sway bar links being broken?

Any ideas

thanks

ahhhh the Infamaous "Ranger lean"......

does your truck happen to have a full tank of fuel ????

with the driver and the fuel tank both on the drivers side, it seems to get some sag before the passenger side for obvious reasons....

you can either crank the drivers side T-bar to re-level it up front some, replace both T-bars and rear springs, or just live with it.....

1. They all do that.
2. Counting threads on the torsion bar bolts and comparing left to right is irrelevant. Turn them whatever you have to to make it sit level.

go pick up a fat girl and let her ride around with u...after a while the otherside will be level with the drivers side:thefinger:

I like the fat girl idea, too bad im not into them. really though this is that common. also anyone know where to buy new leafs already assembled.

Thanks

lol when it rains the water dont run off anywhere in mine. I doubt ford built hte ranger on purpose with a pimp lean. As a matter of fact I dont remember ever seeing a brand new ranger with a lean, only after about 4 yrs or so
