leds in turn signals???

anyone use leds in their turn signals?

i had a friend who put them in an 05 ranger and they look good and flash twice as fast as the stock bulbs.

does this work for all rangers? i have a 93.

if so, which bulbs do i get?

yeah they work but if you want to have them blink at a normal speed you will have to put a resistor on the blinker wires.

check out http://www.superbrightleds.com/1157.htm they have a chart that shows what bulbs work in what. and yeah be sure and get load resistors. since they draw so little power they blink like you have a burned out turn signal with out them. be sure and post some pics of when you get them. ive been thinking about doing the same thing. how do your friends look in the daytime?

I've also seen replacement LED blinker things so they blink normally.

i switched out all my lights in my 93 except headlights and high-mount with LEDs, just splice in a resistor and you should be fine(make sure its spliced in the right direction or they wont work)

you got any day and night pics? im in the process of changing out all my bulbs. just ordered new tail light bulbs and have the high mount and dome light done. how bright are the turn signals? did you do the reverse lights as well?

are the reverse lights any brighter than the originals?

the reverse lights are alot brighter, they have kind of a blue tint to them, i guess its kind of a "true" white. i would post pics...if i knew how...

i have no idea what kind of LEDs they are, my brother-in-law got them off a guy on e-bay
