I have picked out black head/corner/tail light housings for the next Ranger and looked hard for a third brake light to match, and I found a smoke lense LED one on Amazon, but I don't know if I need to change anything to make it work, like with LED brake lights (I think, electrical really isn't my thing).

EDIT: Side question, the HL housings I'm gettin have a second hole for a second bulb, and since I don't want to have just and empty spot with a cap on the back, I want to add a second bulb, my friend said getting a splitter and bulbs would work fine. Is it really that simple?

if you ever notice, the third brake light on all ford truck models ranger-f350 have the same third brake light. im not sure if ALLLLLL do but i know f250 does and as f350 is pretty much same body id say so. just make sure it applies to the same year truck. go to cheapest site but go to a truck site to search by truck/year. that way you know it will fit. mine is a 99 ranger, so whether im shopping for a f150 f250 ect. it will all fit.

It says it's for a '95, and my next truck is a '94, but I cross referenced other third brakes lights and I found one will fit a '94 and a '95 Ranger so theoretically/logically it will fit, my concern is switching to LEDs because I think if you switch your rear or front lights from bulbs to LEDs you have to do some mods to make it work right, that's my main concern.

Thats the brake light im referring to

brake lights i dont think, no expert, i know blinkers you do and headlights as your blinker will blink fast thinking lights out, and hid leds are lower wattage also. your best bet for info VLEDS.COM. they only sell lights, but have ALOT of info for questions and troubleshooting and install videos.

You don't need to do anything to make it work. Just plug it in. All third brake lights from 93-11 are interchangable IIRC.

i knew yr-yr was interchangeable, but now i know 93-11, awesome.

Sweet, I hate doing electrical X_X

Every time I look at a wiring diagram I start feeling stupid lol.

It's good to know I can get it and not have to worry about mods. Thanks guys.

Its really simple, I just used a little bridge connector and ran them off of my parking lights

Are you talking like, my third brake light has 3 light holes. 2 for running lights on sides of it, then 1 for rake light in the middle. Are you talking about 2 holes for brake light alone.
